Jack's Banana Bread

During the period of the years from 1964-1966 Jack was starting to show signs of the businessman that he would eventually become. From the kitchen of his Mothers home he would bake 80 loafs of Banana Bread – each week - and then sell them to Nora’s Grocery Story - for them to resell – to the residence of his hometown – Norway Michigan. It was his first venture into business – and he was as successful - in this first venture - as he would eventually be in the passion that became his life’s work – Beautician, Hairstylist and Salon Owner.

Jack’s Banana Bread became one of those standard culinary items that he would create over the years for those he held special in his life. I can recall him baking this recipe many times during the course of my years with him. He made it for customers, family and friends – or simply for the two of us to enjoy. He was a greater cook – and the “Banana Bread Recipe” represented the “Signature Recipe” in his long list of so many great culinary wonders he prepared over the years.

Jack continues to touch the lives of those who loved him – by something as simple as a Banana Bread Recipe - and so I would like to share the Jack’s Banana Bread Recipe with you – in memory of Jack.
